Fire broke out at India’s Haldia Petrochemical; injured dozen

Naphtha
It is reported that a major fire broke out at the naphtha cracker unit of Haldia Petrochemical this morning approximately 11.15 AM and injured 15 people. The cracker is able to produce 676,000 tons/year of ethylene and 350,000 tons/year of propylene.
At the time this report is published, it is still uncertain on the cause of the incident and the extent of the damage; however, the fire has not been put under control after nearly four hours.
