Russia’s ZapSibNeftekhim to export PP, PE from new plant in November

Following a trial production at PP plant in April and at PE plant in July, ZapSibNeftekhim has informed its potential customers in China about its intention to export in larger quantity to this market starting November 2019.

ZapSibNeftekhim is a subsidiary of SIBUR Holdings, has signed a long-term contract with China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) to distribute its PE output to China, while SIBUR would handle the PP business separately.

Overview:

ZapSibNeftekhim owns a cracker with an output of 1.5 million tons per year of ethylene and 500,000 tons of propylene. Downstream units include a 500,000 tons/year of PP, two stand-alone HDPE lines with a combined capacity of 700,000 tons (350,000 tons each) and two HDPE/LLDPE swing lines with a combined capacity of 800,000 tons (400,000 tons each).
