Thailand LDPE film offered at discount in Vietnam

Vietnamese players reported receiving offers for Thailand LDPE film cargoes at fresh reduction compared to last week today. Indeed, the latest prices emerged at $25-35/ton lower than last week to reach $1200/ton CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A buyer received the new offer blamed persistent weak demand and falling upstream costs as the main driver behind these loses. The source said, “We have not place any bid as we feel no confidence in making fresh replenishment. The monsoon might arrive anytime now which would dampen demand further.”

Import LDPE film to Vietnam is currently reported at $1200-1240/ton CIF, LC AS term.
