It is reported that Chinese and the USA officials would only meet in December to sign the interim “Phase I” trade deal as both countries continue to discuss on the term and the location of signing the deal.

Reuters reported earlier that Chinese negotiators are asking the USA to drop 15% tariffs on USD 125 billion worth of Chinese goods that went into effect on 1 September 2019 while also seeking more roll back on earlier tariffs. On the other hand, the USA is pushing China to purchase more of its farm products.

The “Phase I” trade deals will not address the industrial subsidies.
