South Korea’s Lotte Chemical shutdown Daesan cracker following explosion

It is reported that an explosion occurred at Lotte Chemical’s plant in Daesan earlier today, injuring 20 people. The incident began at the naphtha cracker and at the time of this report, the fire has been contained.
The company is now assessing the damage and the impact on the downstream operation. It is unclear how long the naphtha cracker would remain offline.
