Taiwan major sold out June PVC allocation

Market sources reported that a major Taiwan producer has sold out PVC allocation for June shipment to India and Southeast Asia market soon after announced fresh prices with $30/ton lower than last month. However, the producer’s total export quantity for June has reduced by approximate 15% compared to regular month.

Sources closed to the company estimated some 15,000 tons of PVC has been sold to India, 15,000 tons to China and another 20,000 tons to Southeast Asia and other market.

An agent selling on behalf of the producer commented, “Demand is generally slowing down in line with the arrival on monsoon season. We think that the producer might also reduce export quantity for the coming month as they planned to shutdown one of the PVC unit in Linyuan.”
