China's Zhejiang Xingxing MTO plants reduced production rate

According to market sources, Zhejiang Xingxing New Energy Chemical Co Ltd has experienced equipment failure at the heat exchanger and hence reduced its production rate of MTO units to 70%.

Based in Zhejiang, China, the 690,000 ton/year MTO unit is able to produce 300,000 ton/year of ethylene and 390,000 ton/year of propylene. A source closed to the company informed that they might need 2-3 days to fix this problem but there are no plan for any shutdown at the moment. The plant has started commercial run since beginning of April 2016.
