Flood in Southern China disrupt logistics services in the polyolefins sector

It is reported that prolonged heavy rain in the Southern China area has caused flooding in at least two cities while others are under red alert. Players in Huangpu and Guangzhou are facing tremendous logistics and warehousing difficulties as the flood has caused the closure of various roads and tunnels.

“Some cargoes in our warehouses were soaked, however, we are unable to quantify the impact the moment.  The situation should ease in the next couple of days,” a trader reported.
