Emergency shutdown at Sinopec-SK PP unit

According to market sources, Sinopec-SK (Wuhan) Petrochemical Company Limited has unexpectedly shut its PP (STP) unit yesterday (7 June 2016) due to technical glitch and expected to remain off-stream for 4 days.

Located in Wuhan, China, the company has a PP (JPP technology) unit and a PP (ST technology) unit each with a production capacity of 200,000 ton/year. The units have been shut since 7 April 2016 for a scheduled turnaround and restarted on 1 June 2016.
