Major Thai maker lifted HDPE prices to Vietnam

A major Thailand producer reportedly announced new HDPE prices to Vietnam this week at $5-10/ton higher than previous offer last week to reach $1125/ton for HDPE film, injection and blow molding and $1130/ton for HDPE yarn, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

A buyer received the increased price commented, “We place bid for $20/ton lower but our suppliers refused to accept due to reduced allocation from HQ. We think market has been falling too quickly in the past weeks and might be near to the bottom, hence we plan to replenish some quantity within these two weeks.”
