Local PP offers climb higher in Indonesia; PE holds steady
A major local producer in Indonesia has opened fresh weekly offers for both PP and PE to domestic buyers. The latest price list sees another round of price increment for PP cargoes while PE remains unchanged from the previous week.

Interestingly, the drastic appreciation of the Indonesian Rupiah against the US dollar has not affected the price trend as the market is heavily driven by the supply condition at the moment.
“We are still fulfilling the previous PO for end products at the moment with very limited new orders coming in. This is because our customers couldn’t accept the current raw material prices, therefore, we prefer to only restock cargoes once new orders are confirmed,” a manufacturer reported.
It is expected that buyers would seek PP quantities in the import ground, leveraging the strong Rupiah in the coming days.
