Thailand's SCG to discontinue HDPE injection production

According to market sources, Thailand's SCG might suspend its HDPE injection production grade H5818J by end of 2016, in conjunction with the termination of ethylene contract. SCG owns four HDPE lines in Thailand with total capacity of 980,000 tons/year. The company reportedly reduced operation rate early this month to combat traditional slow demand season, a source close to the company said.
