Major Thailand maker increased HDPE prices to Vietnam

A Thailand producer reportedly opens new HDPE offers for August delivery to Vietnam today at $5-15/ton higher than last week to reach $1130/ton for HDPE injection and blow molding and at $1145/ton for HDPE yarn, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

Source from the producer informed, “We are not having HDPE film for Vietnam market as demand for this grade is rather disappointed. We plan to hold firm stance on our offers given the general firming trend and lack of inventories pressure.” The source added that they are now operating HDPE plants at reduce rate to combat weaker demand in June.
