Iran's AKPC shut LDPE line on technical issues

According to market sources, Amir Kabir Petrochemical Co Ltd (AKPC) was forced to take its LDPE line off stream earlier this month due to some unexpected technical glitches.
Based in Bandar Imam, Iran, the LDPE unit has production capacity of 300,000 ton/year. The plant is expected to restart by end of June to beginning of July. It is reported that Amir Kabir Petrochemical Co Ltd (AKPC) is currently focusing primarily on selling their LDPE output to China, from which market is estimating about 25,000 tons in production loss due to the shutdown.
