China's Zhejiang Shaoxing resumed PP production after unexpected shutdown

According to market sources, Zhejiang Shaoxing Sanjin Petrochemical Co Ltd has resumed its PP unit today (17 June 2016) after unexpected shutdown since beginning of the week.

Based in Zhejiang, China, the unit has a production capacity of 300,000 ton/year. Meanwhile, the company owns another 200,000 ton/year PP unit (Zhejiang Shaoxing Sanyuan Petrochemical Co Ltd) is currently operating at normal rate. Both units are scheduled to undergo maintenance shutdown during the G20 Summit, end of August to beginning of September. However, it remains unsure about the offline duration.
