Local producer slashed PP, PE offers in Indonesia
Indonesian buyers on the first trading day of the week reported having received fresh PP and PE offers from a major local producer with significant cuts compared to the previous price announcement due to the persistently sluggish demand in this market.

Local demand in Indonesia has been relatively weak since the beginning of the year as manufacturers continue to face difficulties to implement any increases on end-product prices while the outlook is threatened by the renewed COVID-19 lockdown.
“We expect the local market to extend the weakening trend in the coming day. The local market is very slow and the gradual arrival of previously purchased imported cargoes would pressure the sentiment further,” a market source added.
