Korean shipping lines add extra loaders on Southeast Asian services
According to media reports, South Korean feeder operator Namsung Shipping has deployed three extra loaders services on the Southern China – Vietnam route following a request from the government to increase the intra-Asia shipping capacity.
The company’s Pegasus Pacer 700 TEU follows the route: Busan – Gwangyang – Hong Kong – Hai Phong – Shekou – Busan
Starship Leo 1800 TEU follows the route: Gwangyang - Busan - Hong Kong - Shekou - Ho Chi Minh City - Shekou - Incheon – Gwangyang
Star Express 950 TEU follows the route: Southern China – Hai Phong
In the meantime, KMTC Line has also added three extra loaders to meet the urgent demand from Shekou and Huangpu in China to Klang Port in Malaysia and Tanjung Priok port in Indonesia.
Shipping costs across the world have been surging to multi-year high levels recently due to many shipping lines cutting vessels and container availability amid the bearish economy outlook as the pandemic lingers.
