Major Thailand maker lifted PE offers to China

A major Thailand producer has announced fresh PE offers to China today with an increase of $30/ton for HDPE compared to end of last month at $1150/ton for HDPE film and $1160/ton for HDPE yarn, CFR China, LC AS term. The producer has skipped offering LDPE film grades to China for the past six weeks and their current level is at $1170/ton with the same term.

A distributor received the new offer and said, “Prices have firmed up significantly but we are not confident if buyers are willing to accept the new levels. Strong futures market continue to support firmer trend and with limited supply availability for import cargoes, we believed that there is very small chance for prices to soften this month.”
