Indonesia’s PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical on 22 February 2021 announced that it has received a $60 million credit line from Singapore’s DBS Bank to expand its export businesses.

The credit line in the form of a structured trade facility would help ‘bolster the country’s balance of payments’ by growing its export sales of monomers and polymers from Indonesia.

Chandra Asri is Indonesia’s largest petrochemical producer, having an annual capacity of 900,000 tons of ethylene, 490,000 tons/year of propylene, 560,000 tons/year of PP, and 736,000 tons/year of PE. The company is expanding its production in Indonesia to add more PP and PE output to the existing production.
