Saudi's PetroRabigh encounters production issues at ethane cracker 

According to market sources, Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) has encountered some unexpected production issues at its 1.3 million tons/year ethane cracker, leading to lower production rate this week. 

As a result, the producer is forced to cut operating rate at the downstream PE unit and might need to shutdown in the near term. However, it is not confirm on the exact date and the duration of the shutdown. Based in Saudi Arabia, the company produce 300,000 tons/year of HDPE, 600,000 tons/year of LLDPE.
