The Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday, 24 February 2021 that total crude oil output in the US dopped 1.1 million barrels in the week ending 19 February to 9.7 million barrels per day as the polar winter forced oil operators to shut down.

Crude inventories rose 1.3 million barrels to 463 million barrels.

Refinery utilization slumped 14.5% to 68.6%.
