India's Reliance temporarily shut PTA and PET units due to water supply issues

According to market sources, Reliance Industries Limited has unexpectedly shut its PTA and PET units due to shortage of water supply to the complex.

Based in Gujarat, India, the company has a PTA and PET plants each with a production capactity of 2.3 million ton/year and 650,000 ton/year respectively. The restart schedule of the plants could not be ascertained.

On the other hand, the company is currently ensuring the continuous supply of PTA from its plants at Hazira and Patalganga for domestic market.
