EIA: USA crude inventories rose for the fifth week in a row
Energy Information Administration on Wednesday, 24 March 2021 released official data that showed a 1.9 million barrel increased in crude inventories in the USA by the week ending 19 March, to 502.7 million barrels.
This is the fifth straight weekly increase since the winter storm hit the country in mid-February.
Refinery utilization rates rose by 5.5% to 81.6%.
Net crude import rose 338,000 barrels per day.
