Indonesian producer maintains PE offers unchanged, reducing PP on weak demand
It is reported that a major local producer in Indonesia has opened fresh weekly PP and PE prices to the domestic market. The new offers see additional price reductions on PP cargoes as a result of weak demand and the continued weakening trend in the import ground.

Players are cautiously monitoring the market development after a fire broke out at Pertamina’s refinery in Balongan that also disrupt propylene supply to another PP producer in the country – Polytama. In the meantime, it is estimated that about 7000-8000 tons of Chinese homo-PP cargoes are slated to arrive at the market by the first half of April, which potentially ease the local supply tightness.
