Thailand’s PTT shut crackers in Map Ta Phut due to power outage

PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) has abruptly shut part of its petrochemical complex in Map Ta Phut on 14 April 2021 after a thunderstorm caused a power outage. A source close to the company confirmed that several crackers on the site are now offline and it might take a week to restart these units.
