China welcomes two new PP, PE plants from late May-early June
Two newly constructed PP and PE plants in China are coming online within the period from late May to July 2021, adding 1.1 million tons/year of PP and 300,000 tons/year of HDPE output to the market.

Market players reported that Ningbo Fortune is expected to bring the No. 2 PP line online by the end of this week, which is earlier than the initial schedule by ten (10) days.
“Local PP supply is quite comfortable as new plants are coming online right on schedule. However, the export window remains shut at the moment given the diverged market trend in local China and the nearby Southeast Asia market. We could only move a small quantity to South America market recently,” a trader reported.
