EIA: US crude inventories continue to decline
The latest data from the Energy Information Agency (EIA) showed a drop in US crude inventories of 447,000 barrels in the week to 6 August 2021 to 438.8 million barrels due to the increased demand, which reflected in the fall of 1.4 million barrels in gasoline stocks to 227.5 million barrels during the week.
Refinery utilisation rates increase 0.5 percentage points to 91.8%.
Net crude imports fell by 796,000 barrels per day last week.
