Oil fell for the third straight session on faltering demand outlook
International benchmarks for crude oil extended the weakening trend on Monday, 16 August 2021, marking the third straight falling session after the report showed slowing Chinese economic activities as a result of the bad weather and the flare-up of COVID-19 cases.
Brent plunged $2.21 or 3.1% to $68.38/barrel.
WTI dived $2.42 or 3.5% to settle at $66.02/barrel.
