Emergency shutdown at Sinopec Qilu's SM unit
Market sources reported that Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical Co Ltd has unexpectedly shut its styrene monomer (SM) unit on 4 July 2016 due to technical glitch.
Based in Shandong, China, the SM unit has a production capacity of 200,000 ton/year. It is expected to remain off-stream for a week.
