China’s CNPC Liaoyang started commercial operations at the new PP plant

According to market sources, CNPC Liaoyang Petrochemical has reached commercial production at its newly started up PP plant in Liaoyang, China on 24 August 2021 as the company delivers the first on-spec trucks to its customers.

The 300,000 tons/year PP line started trial run in mid-August, is one of China’s 20 new PP plants that are scheduled to come online in 2021.

CNPC Liaoyang also owns a 400,000 tons/year HDPE/LLDPE swing line and a 400,000 tons/year standalone HDPE line at the same complex. Both of the PE units are slated to come online in September 2021.
