Oil advanced on Mexican oil rig outage and vaccine approval
International benchmarks for crude oil jumped another 3% on Tuesday, 24 August 2021 following an outage at one of Mexico’s largest oil production due to a fire, while a COVID-19 vaccine gained full approval from US authorities.
Brent advanced $2.30, or 3.4% to $71.05/barrel.
WTI gained $1.90 or 2.9% to settle at $67.54/barrel.
