Uptick in Buying Fuels Talk of a Floor in China’s LLDPE Film Market
China’s LLDPE film market saw a notable pickup in buying interest this week, driven largely by improved activity on the import side. Market participants reported a healthy number of deals for Saudi-origin cargoes after suppliers issued a month-on-month reduction of $50/ton, prompting renewed debate over whether prices may be nearing a cyclical bottom.
A buyer told CommoPlast that the latest Saudi offers stood out in the current landscape. “Compared with US-origin cargoes, these Saudi parcels are now relatively attractive given the narrowed premium. We decided to cover some volumes for the post-Lunar New Year period,” the buyer said.

Taiwanese Major Cuts December PVC Offers as Market Sentiment Remains Subdued
A major Taiwanese PVC producer has issued its December shipment offers to Asian markets with moderate month-on-month reductions, largely in line with expectations. Market participants, however, responded cautiously, citing concerns that the downtrend could persist into the year-end.
Attention is now focused on India, where the pace of demand recovery is expected to shape the near-term price outlook. While purchasing activity may gradually improve as inventories ease, abundant Chinese supply is likely to cap any meaningful rebound in regional PVC prices in the weeks ahead.
