Domestic producer continues cutting spot PP, PE offers in Indonesia
A major local producer in Indonesia has slashed spot PP and PE offers once again this week on the back of the sluggish demand condition and downward pressure from the energy complex.

Market sources said that the downward adjustments are too minor to attract sufficient buying interest. Offers for both PP and PE in the distribution market are way more competitive, which could force the producer to introduce additional decreases moving forward.
“The macro-environment is not favourable, and the end-product demand is not picking up as quickly as we have hoped. Some traders with tight cash flow are offering special deals, hence, we think the producer might face slow sales results,” a market source said.
