Key Indonesian producer opens third price list this week
A key domestic producer in Indonesia has opened the third price list this week with additional increases on PP cargoes claiming the strong sentiment in the import ground and the persistent supply tightness in this market.

Trading activities retreated further as buyers decided to postpone new purchases to assess the near-term outlook before making decisions. Players fear the declining sentiment in China as the Lunar New Year draws near and the sharp uptick in prices would unavoidably attract Chinese cargoes.
In fact, at the time of this report, a key Chinese producer has opened new export offers after weeks of absence at $1195/ton FOB China for both yarn and injection grades.
“Large-scale buyers would flock to the import ground to search for more competitive parcels. However, everyone is cautious. Supply might improve visibly after the Spring Festival,” a market source said.
