Indonesia cuts import tariff on Chinese petchem products
The Indonesian government has released the scheduled import tariff adjustment in relation to the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA), which see further tariff reductions on a wide range of goods imported from China.
In the Circular No. 46/PMK.10/2022, the Ministry of Finance said all adjustments would come into effect starting 1 April 2022.
The highlight for the petrochemical sector is the zerorised of import duty for Chinese HDPE and PET to the country. Meanwhile, other PE grades, PP, and PVC from China continue to be subjected to 5% duty.
