Oil settled higher on strong economic data
International benchmarks for crude oil settled higher on Friday, 5 August 2022 after data showed the US added 528,000 jobs in July, much stronger than expected. However, the gains were limited by the lingering fear of a global economic recession.
Brent gained 80 cents to close at $94.92/barrel.
WTI added 47 cents to settle at $89.01/barrel.
