Saudi maker stepped back on LLDPE film and PP block offers to Vietnam

After a series of hard negotiation, a major Saudi Arabia producer has stepped back on June shipment offers for LLDPE film and PP block copolymer to Vietnam by $10/ton from the initial price list. The adjusted offers come down to $1170-1180/ton for LLDPE film and $1320/ton for PP block copolymer, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term. No changes on homo-PP and HDPE cargoes.

Deals have been achieved at $1180/ton for LLDPE film and $1370/ton for HDPE film with the same term with a trader informed, “Customers have accepted the prices, however, transaction is not very strong. We only managed to sell HDPE film at $1370/ton to one customer while most others are placing bids at $1350/ton. We think the market is stabilizing,” a distributor said.

Meanwhile, players are still considering the supplier’s homo-PP cargoes at $1320/ton CIF Vietnam, LC AS term as other Middle Eastern sellers have concluded deals for yarn grade at $1305-1310/ton CIF Vietnam, LC 0-60 days term. “We are waiting for final price decision and will not rush any purchases for now,” a buyer added.
