South Korea’s LG Chem shut side cracker on technical issues
According to market sources, LG Chemical has reportedly shut down its LPG cracker in Daesan, South Korea due to an issue at the compressor.
The side cracker has an annual output of 230,000 tons/year of ethylene and 100,000 tons/year of propylene and was taken offline on 28 March 2021.
Sources expected the unit to come back online by 8 April 2021.
