Indonesia’s Polytama restarted the PP plant as propylene supply resumed

PT Polytama Propindo has reportedly restarted its PP plant in Balongan, Indonesia over the weekend after three weeks of shutdown due to propylene supply disruption after a fire broke out at Pertamina’s complex on 29 March 2021.

According to market sources, Pertamina has successfully resumed the propylene supply last Thursday, 15 April 2021, allowing Polytama to restart the operation at the 380,000 tons/year PP plant. 

Polytama is now in mid of ramping up the operating rates and might be able to achieve normal run rates by the end of the week.
