China’s manufacturing activities continue to accelerate in July

Official data from the Chinese government suggested that manufacturing activities in the country continue to recover from the pandemic and the recent flood did not exert major impact. The Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) for July 2020 stood at 51.1, up from 50.9 in June.

Export orders once again declined, signaling the persistent pressure from the weak global demand. 

Analysts are expecting companies to face increased difficulties to maintain the upward momentum, especially small companies that continue to feel both supply and demand pressure.
